MEETING ANNOUNCEMENTS
Orientation Class 20: Friday, June 14
Orientation for our new class of Fellows will take place on Friday, June 14 from 9:30 a.m. until 3:45 p.m. at the UNC Center for School Leadership Development.
Fall Enrichment Seminars: Class 20
The first fall enrichment seminar for Class 20 Fellows will be held at the UNC Center for School Leadership Development on Friday, September 13 from 9:30 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. The seminar will be facilitated my Sondra Van Sant who will involve Fellows in a series of interactive activities on the topic: "Leadership: Start with Self-Understanding."
On Friday, October 20, Fellows will attend a session presented by Dr. Deborah Jones on the topic: "Principal as Instructional Leader."
On Friday, November 22, Fellows will participate in a seminar on "Teaching with Poverty in Mind" presented by Donna Moore, who is a certified trainer of Eric Jensen's works. Fall Enrichment Seminars: Class 19: Class 19 Fellows will participate in three enrichment seminars this fall on the following dates: Tuesday, October 15: Dr. Deborah Jones will discuss the role of the "Principal as Instructional Leader." Dates for Spring Enrichment Seminars will be announced after arrangements have been made.
Thursday, September 19: Dr. Bill Sterrett will facilitate a book study on his newest book, Insights into Action. Fellows are reminded to bring their copies of the book and the study questions to the seminar. Dr. Ann Roberts will facilitate interactive activities with the Fellows as they learn ways to create a healthy balanced environment in order for teachers and faculty to be at their best for their students.
