WHO WE ARE HARRY A. STARNES, Director In addition to his duties as director of the Center for School Leadership Development’s (CSLD’s) Principal Fellows Program, Dr. Starnes serves as associate director of the North Carolina Model Teacher Education Consortium, helping aspiring educators gain licenses to teach and graduate and undergraduate degrees in education by coordinating the Consortium’s partnerships with universities. Prior to joining the CSLD, he was a high school teacher; a middle, elementary, and high school administrator; and a middle school principal.Dr. Starnes holds a bachelor’s degree in education from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, a master’s degree in education from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, and a doctor of education degree from East Carolina University. He has supervised student teachers, taught undergraduate and graduate level education courses, and served on several district and statewide task forces on assessment, reading instruction, and graduate requirements. His education specialties include the social and philosophical foundations of education and the dimensions of educational leadership. |
CAROLINE GREEN Ms. Green is a student at UNC-Chapel Hill majoring in Psychology. She joined the Center for School Leadership Development in 2001 as a program coordinator for the Principals’ Executive Program. She is currently responsible for all Principal Fellows Program logistical operations. |
